    I have a Designer I and love it. Don't rule out using the embroidery unit. It's fun and does a nice job. Be sure to check out the diff stitches you can do.

    This is a great machine. I have it, but I am trying to sell it. You really should try the embroidery part of it. It is a wonderful machine. Anybody interested in my machine please pm me.
