My daughter wants the stormy sea quilt with the snail trail around the edges. Where can I find a pattern with the two combined?

I can find the individual blocks but I don't have a clue how to figure out how much fabric to buy without a pattern.

Found a picture but no pattern.

I believe the pattern is called 'Snails in the Storm' and is from a 1980's issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine. I've had no luck finding it though.

I'll look through my QNM magazines in 1980 and see if I can find the pattern for you. If I find it, the issue is $2.50 plus $3.99 shipping. I have all QNM's since 1969 to 2005 if there is anything else you are looking for. I have thousands of quilting magazines that I'm trying to sell in my efforts to downsize my quilting stash. I'll get right back to you if I find the pattern.

The issue was not the year 1980, it was from some year in the 1980's...the decade. Sorry to confuse you.

Isn't this the pattern that Judy Martin has worked up as Shakespeare in the Park? The Yahoo group "Stashbusters" loves this pattern and has a link to it on their home page.

I looked through the entire index and there was no pattern with this name through 1994..... Sorry, but its not there. You can pull the index up through their website: www.quiltersnewsletter.com . Click on the patterns tab and it will take you to the complete index of everything since issue number 1.

I'll check again, but I'm sure its not in there. Let me know if you find it. I probably have the magazine the pattern is in.

Judy Martin's pattern is snails trails and stars, not snails trails and storm at sea. http://www.judymartin.com/products.c...prod=6&CatID=1

We are just trying to help a fellow quilter. Sounds like a great pattern and a fantastic quilt.
