Looking for flat singer cams
I have a singer 328K sewing machine and it takes flat cams. Does anyone know if I the flat cams from the singer 3140 will work in my 328K? I have spent hours on the web trying to find this out but so far no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

I would be encouraged by the fact that they are from the same company, but would hesitate to use them until I could get a firm answer from Singer itself. See if you can find a phone number for the main company, and ask directly. They must have someone there who knows if these are interchangable.

I don't think so. The 3140 things are called "pattern discs" while the 328K are called cams. Found these photos of each, and they do not look identical:

If you look closely at the pictures, the outer shape of the discs is different.

I'd check with the folks on the vintage machine thread here first. And the yahoo group:

will know ALL about these!
