I have a loving red-ear slider turtle named Yurtle. He is so darn cute I would love to make a small wall hanging (not paper pieced tho) quilt for him. I am looking for a free pattern ...
Yes, I know I am strange! Thanks to all!!

Try googling turtles coloring pages. You will get lots of options.

I was asked to do a small one for my son, too. We had a box turtle named Link....as in Missing Link...for 20 years. She even layed eggs the first 2 years, but we weren't able to hatch them.

This is a very easy cut pattern: Turtle Toy
    http://www.quiltmaker.com
Only a few flat pieces to cut, resize. I have plenty of turtle patterns as my sister has two at home, I'll try and find them and post back later if there's a suitable one. There is also an appliqued sea turtle on Fatcatpatterns.com by Sindy Rodenmayer, PDF 2009 Seaturtles.pdf. Itry to get the link from my files, I may have to post a new reply, having problems with this! I see the next post links to the same pattern!

No...Turtles can lay eggs for 2 years on only 1 fertilization...if, I am remembering this correctly....she came to us this way. Layed her 1st eggs within a couple of weeks of getting her.
