    looking for honest opinions!

    i thought i would just quilt this with simple nested squares, but then the cable idea occurred.

    i REALLY don't know if it's awesome or terrible.

    The cable softens the linear look of the rest of the quilt. I like it!

    I think it looks good. But I do understand your struggle with wanting to get the right quilting. I have felt like I have ruined a quilt by how I quilted it.

    You have to be happy with it... but I do like it. How are you going to quilt the rest?

    It looks super nice to me. I would have put double rows of the cables in each section to add more interest.

    The rest will have very minimal sid. It's so linear there's nothing else to do without destroying the lines.

    It is not bad but it would have been better if it could be a little wider to fill the space. Just my honest opinion.

    this was my first thought, too. maybe you can add scallops on each side of the cable to fill it up more. the cables you have done are done very well
