I would put them in the same quilt and use navy blue tone on tone with white on white also Some one once told me all reds go together so I made a bargello heart using only reds. it worked and the gal that got it loved it

Thanks again, everyone. I really appreciate the ideas. They are very helpful. I am playing with a Warm Wishes idea. I am going to try the black as my focus fabric and then have the red in the middle stripe between two whites. Might work. Notice the word "try."

Whatever, because it is to be a charity quilt and simple is your goal, I'd leave off the pinwheels--I don't consider anything "HST" as "easy" and quick.

Any other other suggestions sound good to me. Some kid will love it. DO you have other brights you can add. Don't worry about it being "too bright" for someone. I've never had that happen. But I've have had it to be "too light".

I think you've got it. Great job using the fabrics as focus and toning it down a bit with white. I'd go for it!

Love the way your top looks in post 15. Is this the warm wishes pattern or something you developed?
