I am hoping someone might have heard of a Marguerite Treadle and might be able to give me some information on the model (pictures attached) and the company (Household Machine Company) that made them.

Love the emblem on the coffin lid. Beautiful. I am sure that someone will be able to help.

Nice machine. You might want to go on the Vintage Sewing Machines Shop thread on here and put up the picture and ask those experts if they recognize it. It was probably made by one of the major sewing machine companies and given a "brand" name for a store or other retailer.

Thanks for the information. I did see that one website that mentions a Marguerite, it basically was just a blog of someone that found one but really no other info. The gentleman that has it is second generation sewing machine repair/sales and has been doing it himself since the late 40's if I remember correctly. He is a wealth of information but said he has never heard of a Marguerite before.

The one patent date I could read looked like 1874. The decal is in amazing shape for being over 100 years old.

I have a feeling this may be American sewing machine, I was also looking for the information. I saw this, maybe the closest I can get to what looks like the Marguerite here.... http://vintagesewingmachine.net/Pict...No7/index.html
