Beautiful quilt top. I found this texture fabric. Seems that P&B has a current line out called Autumn Spice:

I prefer to choose something busy over muslin because any mistake you make in quilting will definitely show up. Good Luck.

A nice mottled gold or if you want to accent one of the colors from the front look for a mottled effect in that particular color. Beautiful quilt.

I would use a solid or near solid in a gold or cream and let the quilting shine.

There gorgeous colors in your quilt, with whose scraps you could create modern strips on the back of the quilt. I'm pretty conservative, so the gold or cream (maybe mottled) background would normally have been my choice. Then I saw the closeup of the one of the blocks and loved the rich color. Truly, any of the dominant colors in the quilt would look lovely on the back. You did a wonderful job!

I don't understand......is the back, a photo of what you are looking for?....the beautiful purple? IF YOU cannot find it, I would put purple on the back and use gold thread in your bobbin to show up on the solid purple backing......

Do you have a fabric shop close to you? I have often taken a top in and just laid it across some bolts to see which one my eye went to first. If I can't really decide, I make the hubby decide, he has a good eye. I very seldom decide on a back before the top is finished.

I bought the same BOM. When I finished the quilt, I had a difficult time finding the backing. I finally found the matching purple fabric at Mardens in Bangor, Maine. It was a lucky find.

That is one stunning quilt. I think you have lots of options if you can not find fabric fron that group.

I would fold the quilt up nicely, put it in a nice bag, call a friend or two, and take a road trip to a couple quilt shops.
I'm positive that you could find something wonderful to back it with.

Try: www.thousands of bolts.com
Right now they have wide fabric on sale and look under their Andover section.
