Smile Sewing Room reorganization

Haven't posted to the Board in a while but must report
Well, once again, my sewing room is morphing. Back in 09 it was in my "living room", then in 11 the den and the living room swapped, and now everything is out and the old carpet came up and my DH is putting down tile. Carpet was a nightmare! (Did you know when you move things out of a room, they expand??) Anyway, we think in a very few days it will all be rearranged and reorganized (the furniture, that is). Sadly, didn't find anything that was missing that I had been looking for. Could not find my 5x7 embroidery hoop and finally broke down and bought a new one so that is usually when "lost" items surface. No such luck. Pictures are in "your sewing room" group, so I will post new pics here and there when finished. Sharon Hatfield.

Believe me I thououghly understand! I live in a 2 bedroom apartment - since the bedrooms had NO closets, I turned one into a giant closet/craft & sewing room. Well, that quickly changed when in 2008 I began to learn to quilt. Now I have 2 areas, one in the dinig room where I piece on my Featherweight and serge. Then the big machine I receintly moved to the living room. THe pattio doors don't open and I have a beautiful deck so....I put a fold out table in front of the window/pattio doors and covered it with a cheep quilt from walmart that I had purchased some time back because the colors blended with my living room furniture. WOW, can I put a lot of "just re-organized" clear containers and project boxes underneith that table and it is long enouth to have a cutting spot and my sewing machine on the other end. WHen I need to machine Quilt a large quilt or do a bunch of cutting, I have a smaller table that fold out and I put it up on the end - forming an L workspace that is perfect for machine quilting large quilts and /or extra space when I am sorting or cutting out a bunch of things. Then, if company is coming, I just put away the small table and rid up the big one and LA LA!!!!! I really like It as the birds come to my patio and I sit there and sew and watch them all year long! Also, IF a friend comes over to sew with me, we can both have plenty of room and there is still the dining room table and I have room for a card table if needed.
