Anyone know the name of this block? Every time I go into this store, this pillow calls to me....

They look like paper pieced cactus flower-try googling free paper piecing patterns-I forget which designes I found something like this under but there were a ton of patterns there. Good luck

If the store has an online site, it might be listed, with a name.

They have an online presence, but it's a regional chain and there's no info about the displays in each store. The employees don't know what it is, apparently the employee who made it no longer works there.

I'm pretty sure it's the Mexican Star pattern.

According to Barbara Brackman it's a Tennessee Tulip (Bets Ramsey design 1981) . Looks like it's been slightly modified here, which is not uncommon in quilted items that have been imported, as this pillow may have been.

Okay, you all want a good laugh? I can't believe I did this. I'm just too stupid to live. Not only did I know the name of this block (Cross and Crown), I'VE ALREADY MADE AN ENTIRE QUILT FULL OF THESE BLOCKS! Back in October 2010!

Giving myself a V-8 smack in the head....

The pillow in the store must have been saying, "remember me, remember me".
