I like the earlier suggestion of four coins in a fountain. Fits the blue one perfectly. The first one for is is like a golden delicious apple orchard. Let us know what you decide on.

The first one I would call Irish Rain and the second would be Dance at the Fountain

I think as others have said, the first block gives the definite feel of a formal garden. Thus, I think any of the names suggested such as English Garden, French Garden, etc. would fit. I think you could easily call it Rhonda's Garden.

I agree that it's both too complex and pretty for a sports themed name. I do think you could do a similar, but simpler, block to go for a sports theme. Perhaps, removing the corner details and adding something else in place.

The second block, my favorite, definitely brings to mind a lovely formal fountain garden such as one might see in a rich desert sheikh's palace. So, I do like the name Moroccan Fountain or Oasis Garden.
Your blocks are beautiful and complicated. You provide challenge to all board members who want to improve their skills!!

What about moons in the corners for #1? Floating feathers for #2? I'm not very imaginative when it comes to naming things, either.

I love all of the names, I too am horrible at naming things so won't even try. But I had to laugh! The first thing that sprung into my mind was pac man for block one. Lol, said I was terrible. Rhonda these are great blocks! Look forward to your tute, they are always good.

I'm not sure what I would call the green/yellow block , but I can see butterflies at the corners, just can't come up with a name. For your second block, I think Royal Diadem would be my choice. It makes me think of a jewel in a tiara.

The first block reminds me of an ornate kitchen trivet, so haw about "Iron Trivet"? The second looks like the pendant from a necklace. Could be "Moroccan Pendant."

For some unknown reason the words "meet me in the cafeteria" popped into my head for the green and yellow one! I really love both blocks!

LOL Cogito

We're on the same wavelength! I see the 2 dark half circles in the corners as crab pincers and they are getting ready to "eat" the lighter green one in front of the claws. I also thought of pac man. LOL

The blocks are very pretty. Would love to see them in a setting. So well done, Rhonda. Several great suggestions for names already.
