I can't remember the name. I know I've seen it before. I can tell you it is made of (equilateral?) triangles which are each made of three smaller triangles in three different fabrics. Those (equilateral?) triangles are pieced with a Y seam. Look closely at the picture and you can find the large triangles. For instance, look at the lime green "Y" in the bottom row. The top left light green part of the "Y" is made of a triangle with smaller triangles in these colors: blue, black and lime green. You could make this without a pattern but you need to graph it out on paper and color in all the small triangles so they form the "Y" shapes when joined. Finding a pattern would surely be easier, lol.

I've also seen this pattern before, but have no idea of the name. When I took a close look I saw hexagons!! Hopefully someone has the pattern name

Now that you've pointed it out, I see the hexagons, too. I think this pattern can also be made with hexagons split in half with different colors on each half. In that case it would probably be put together with EPP'ing. Whereas if made with the large triangles, they would be straight seamed side by side and the construction would be all straight seams with the rows on the diagonal.

Whoops! Correction: the large triangles are not put together with three smaller triangles, but with three trapezoids.

I you used 60 degree triangles instead of half hexes, you could avoid the Y seam construction.
I love the look of these 3-D quilts!

I have seen that pattern made up too but not sure what the name of it is. I don't think it is "Tumbling Blocks". I thought it was called something like "city buildings"??? Good luck in your search. I am sure someone on this wonderful QB will find it for you.
