At a yard sale I bought an half round ottoman that I was going to reupholster. The more I've thought about it, the more I'm thinking I would like to try to make a quilted slipcover for it. I was wondering if anyone has ever made anything like that? If so, I would LOVE to see some pictures. I need some inspiration. I have an idea, but not sure if I can execute my vision! I've seen the pictures on the board of the quilt upholstered furniture- which I loved!-but with 3 kids I will need to be able to remove the cover and be able to wash it. If you have any insight or pictures to share I would love it! Thank you!

I'd thought about doing this too, but wondered how I would 'tie' it on to prevent the cover from going wonky all of the time. that would drive me nuts. :-)

Perhaps post a pic of your ottoman so we can have a better idea as to what you are working with ... and then can give some ideas as to how to tackle!

I remember the couch and chair pics.. they wer awesome.... an ottoman should be easy to just tack or use a "drawstring " method on the underside to hold everything down.
I'm searching ( garagesales/thrift stores, etc) for a round ottoman for my sewing room...

I don't know who, but you are right, someone quilted her couch and another re-upholstered her chair in red and black I think. Both of them looked very nice!

i have redone chairs & sofas, but sorry, no pix. what i did was make the "skirt" separate with 2" wide elastic, & you could just pull the whole thing off & wash it.
what i would do is go to a shop that sells patterns & look at some that are similar to what you want to do to get ideas OR the library!

Thank you for your info...so did you tuck the top of the project under/inside the skirt and that's how you held it all together? I'm going to think about that......
