Well, this is my first post, so hope I can figure it out...
My DIL asked me to make a lg (queen) size quilt for my GD. We bought some material together, some I had, some I found on my own. She wants predominantly pink. I thought of the "Turning 21 Again" pattern because there are good size pieces to show off the fabric patterns that she likes. Any other ideas? These are the fabrics I have..mostly FQ, some 1/2 yds.
Thanks for your ideas

pinks, greens, some blue, yellow

I think a quilt like this one would look really nice with your fabrics.

you could cut a square or rectangle of each color and sash it in white. it turns out quite striking

Welcome to the Quilting Board from the great state of Nebraska!! Quilterscache.com has oodles of free patterns. I will say that a queen size quilt usually takes about 5-6 yards of fabric for a top and then as much again for the backing if you are new to quilting. Just don't want you to run short in the middle and not be able to find enough to finish what you've got started. A queen size batting is 90x108" from most companies.

I'll be adding 1-2 borders. I quess the quilt will be what ever size it grows up to be!

That might be nice too. Similar to what Elise suggested

I agree with the Turning 21, as it will give her a chance to enjoy each of those fabrics.
