Our local quilt shop has the Janome DC 2010 sewing machine. It has the features and stitches that I am looking for. I would like to know if anyone is familiar with this machine and any pros or cons you have found when using it! Thanks so much.

I had the 2007 LE til it was traded this year for the Horizon and I loved it....never gave me a problem. Those models are all made to the same specs and I highly recommend it.

I had a DC2030 I think it was! It is a wonderful machine. I had to sell it to upgrade to a Janome 6500 but wish I could have kept it as my class machine. Really fun to sew with and can't beat Janome reliability.

When I upgraded my machines in my sewing class, I purchased 2 of the DC2010's and another Janome Decor that is pretty much the same machine. The kids love them, they are real workhorses and we have had no problems with them at all. I would recommend it.

You can also check out reviews on it on this website:

I have one, I am a beginning quilter, and it is a great machine - a real workhorse, and I love it. I had Elna's for years, but the Janome wins hands down (Sorry Mum).
PM me for more information if you want to.

I just won a Janome 3160 at Threads of Time fabric store's customer appreciation days and I LOVE IT!!!!! Most of the women in most of my sewing/quilting groups have Janome's and also love them.

I got a Janome, it's a Jem Gold, tiny, but precious.

I use it now for over ten years, never had any problems with it. I know you will get a different model, but I believe the brand is a good one.

Enjoy

I've had my DC2010 just over a year and love it. Having the needle up/down and the varible speed has been great for me. I don't do a ton of sewing but this gives me all the extra I need for now. Plus it is smooth and quiet. I love my Janome's. Buy extra bobbins from the company, generic ones can give you problems.
