Default Looking for a pattern

I am looking for a specific pattern. I hav found its name on quilts for sale with no chance of a pattern,
Names are; Egyptian jigsaw puzzle, Japanese jigsaw puzzle.
Has anyone any idea where I can find one. It looks like offset diamonds is best to explain.

Google Japanese Jigsaw Quilt Pattern and you will come up with many patterns and images.

It's called the Japanese Puzzle block. AKA Pine Bark pattern.
It's one of my favorites.

Google those two names and you'll see a bunch of different techniques.
But there are some "cheater" methods out there that don't give quite the same effect.

The best instructions I ever saw were in a Quilter's Newsletter from the early '00's.

I can't find a picture of mine but I did it with batiks.
Which really wasn't the most brilliant thing to do.
Unless you're a really, really organized, neat worker.

I had a separate mat (I drew on the back) just for the JP.
I always planned on making more.

I have never seen that pattern. It looks like a good challenge. Please post pictures of your progress and finished quilt.
