I read a few weeks ago (I'm pretty sure on this board) a reply about using strips of white colored pads for feet not moleskin, to make a guide for 1/4 seam. I can't remember the name brand of the white pads. Anyone remember?
Welcome to the Quilting Board!

I read a few weeks ago (I'm pretty sure on this board) a reply about using strips of white colored pads for feet not moleskin, to make a guide for 1/4 seam. I can't remember the name brand of the white pads. Anyone remember?
I did a search and couldnt find anything.
I have heard of using dr sholes (sp?) foot pads to cut up and use as a guide that you stick to the bed of your machine. Is that what you are talking about?
The poster said a well know quilt teacher (forgot) made every one in class a guide from the white pads sold for feet, not the brown moleskin. She said the teacher cut 1/2 strips from it. It was better than moleskin for making a seam guide. Thanks everyone for looking.
I think you are looking for Dr Scholl's Moleskin Plus Padding. It comes in strips (3.375 x 4.375) or rolls and is white. http://www.drscholls.com/drscholls/p...&searchArg=67#
