Does anyone know where I can find a simple 4 patch pattern? I want to work on my cutting and squaring, so I want to do something simple, but also where if I make a mistake, I will see it so I can learn from it. I've Googled it, but I can't really seem to find a nice pattern, just basic instructions. I'm still new, so I need a pattern, I don't think I can just "wing it".

Have a great day!

Carrie

The Connect Threads site has a step-by-step free tutorial for 9-patch blocks posted right now. It is targeted for beginners.

Here's a great one for practice with 4 blocks.
It will give you cutting practice, sewing practice, measuring practice and lining up seams practice, etc.

That is a good one. I've used it for quick baby quilts. Very versatile.

THis is a really good tutorial, you could just freestyle and make a bunch of patches and sew them together. You can use any size square, wouldn't have to be 5"charms
