I saw this lovely tree skirt and would like to make one for DD and DSonIL for a housewarming gift. Has anyone seen a pattern like this or could someone give me some instructions on how to construct one. I imagine strip-piecing could be in order except for the angles. The creator said "I designed this using a 10 degree ruler and quilted it with my mid arm set-up." which, unfortunately doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Did she make strip sets and then cut a 10 degree angle?

I would be happy to pay for a pattern if one is available.

Thanks for your help.

Here's one that's close. I've seen the one you want somewhere in a free pattern so I'll keep looking.

Shibori ~ That one looks like it could work with the right strip sets. Thank you! I think I had glanced at it before, but it didn't quite register.

Want to thank you again and show you what I came up with. I haven't quilted it yet. I'm waiting for the backing fabric.
