Default i Pod vs. fabric, what would you pick.

For Christmas my husband gave me a iPod, which is a very nice gift.
But how much would I use it?
I already have music on the computer in my quilt room.
So, I took it back to the store and went fabric shopping at my favorite store in East Earl, PA, just outside of Lancaster, PA. They have some fabric for $2.99 per yard, which is what I buy when I go there. I've only been quilting for a year and I'm working on my stash. I now have 62 new top quality yards of fabric in my stash. Merry Christmas from my DH.
I'm doing the happy dance!

I would have done the same thing! If I really wanted a small portable music player, I would buy a cheap one (which I have done because I have a history of "misplacing" them!) and then buy fabric until the funds ran out!!! Good for you! Doesn't it feel good to have lots of fabric to see and touch??

I have enough problems with a computer, so I don't think I'd want the iPod. Fabric is great.

I would have gotten fabric. I can listen to music ... so many places .. car ... home sterio...etc. But fabric and building a good stash at a very resonable price... well you would not have to ask me twice.

I would be lost without my IPod I listen to pod cast and audiobooks that I download free from the library all the time. I am extreemly noise sensitive and live in a small house so more than one sound makes me crazy the IPod is my sanity!

OH, Fabric of course, although I would watch the $2.99/yard fabric and make sure that it is not 1st or 2nd runs. (1st or 2nd are what the mills run to test the pattern. The grey goods that they use are usually of lesser quality and not as tightly woven) Rule of thumb, if you can put your hand behind it and still see your hand.. put it back on the shelf!

All that considered, I still would have gone for the fabric, hope that was ok with the hubbie

Ipod - I don't even text (or know how too) - Fabric could be my choice - I would have done the same thing - Love to see what you purchased

iPod. I can't live without mine. It does SO much more than simply play music.
