the pencil is a Fonns & Porter and I bought it at JoAnns. It comes with about 10 refills. love it!

JCL I agree with you wholeheartedly. Bought it from Connecting Threads on sale and the white mechanical pencil is my best buy of the year. I struggled making my black & brown quilt as you go sampler quilt - the white pencils just didn't work well. Things began to speed up once I got the mechanical pencil. Makes a nice relatively fine line.

I guess those fork pins are good when you are keeping both sides of your miter corners together on your binding when slip stitching to the back of th quilt??
