Default Low Volume Quilts - what are they?

I would love a definition of a "low volume quilt". They are talked about, photographed...but I can't find a definition and the pictures I've seen aren't alike enough for me to form my own definition. Does anyone know what they are?

tell us where you have seen pictures - quilts refered to as 'low volume' ...it seems to be a new term to most of us- could be low contrast (as compared to busy-loud quilts) or it could be something else...we would like to see what you are referring to

From the Link:
Never in a million years would I have thought of making a quilt with all my low volume (a.k.a. "white") scraps.

I love this low volume I Spy quilt. I love low volume quilts and yes, they are low contrast usually lots of white.
