Last Saturday I drove to Lowery City, Mo to view the quilts on display at their show. Stopped at the gas station on the highway to ask directions, but the lady did not know where the Civic Center was - she didn't know they had one. Going that distance to see quilts and thinking that Lowery City was not a huge place I could probably find it by driving around town. After crossing and backtracking several streets to no avail, I spotted a two door garage with quilts painted on them (BEAUTIFUL). As I was admiring them a lady comes out, I hit the jackpot - she knew exactly where the show was and gave me directions. Ended up having a wonderful day viewing quilts. A great show in a small town!!! And I was surprised to find a quilt that I had quilted. Yes! Pam took a red ribbon for her lovely Irish Mist quilt. I met the chairperson for the show and even got invited to enter a quilt of my own in their next show. Everyone was so very nice, made me feel right at home. They hold the show every other year. I have already booked in on my calender for 2016!

Glad that you were able to find someone to give you the directions. I had never heard of the town before.
