Freddie - love your avatar. I grew up in Scarborough - only on the Pine Point side of town, quite near OOB.

I went to Marden's yesterday and OMG - the prices are great. I got batiks for $4.99 a yard. I'm trying very hard not to buy fabric without a specific purpose, but at that prices, I couldn't NOT buy some. I got some others for a long term project - just needed 1/8 yr, so that price was a whopping .87 cents!

ANyway, thanks so much for the recommendation. I would never have found the store on my own and never would have thought they had fabric. Not an easy store to find...

Glad you found it. I love Mardens, but mainly for their fabric dept. The only time my husband will go into that store,is for my materials. Thank goodness he knows that they have a good variety and prices I can afford.

p.s. lots2do, thanks for the nice remark.
Did you hear on the news that the galaxy motel and club burned down last week? I guess they will rebuild.

Are staying about a mile from there and saw all the smoke. Hubby went out for his morning cup of Joe and the paper and saw the fire. It was incredible that other buildings didn't catch fire.
