I have been following the tea or coffee dyeing thread. It made me think back to last week, I think, when I looked at a site that offered dyed clothesline. Could the coffee dyeing be used on the clothesline, it would be a nice color, then it could be sewed into the bowl shape. It would be cheaper and so much easier to do then the fabric wrapped cord. Just a thought.

should work, the clothesline is cotton, would need to soak it for awhile, then maybe put it into a laungerie(Sp) bag and put it into the dryer to heat set it...or could make your bowl then put it in the dryer to heat set. you could really get creative with these ;)

I think I am going to try it. Now I do not remember does strong brewed coffee give the same results that strong instant does. I have to read the thread again, not sure if it was mentioned. Thanks for the reply.

Try it. The most expensive thing if it doesn't work would be your time.
