It would be great if I could read some recommendations/criticisms of Janome 1600P and the Pfaff Grand Quilter. If there is anyone out there who has used either or both these machines it would be great to read your reactions as to the strengths and weaknesses of these machines. I need to purchase a straight stitch to use on my Gracie II frame and these are probably two of the best choices here in UK.
Hope someone can pick up on this query,
Many thanks, AndreaM

I have a Janome 1600P and have quilted 4 quilts so far using stippling. The last one (and the one I'm currently working on) have not gone so well. The thread keeps breaking and is such an aggravation. I even had it worked on by a Janome dealer and it did one strip very well. When I turned to go back the other way, the thread started breaking again. I have a GMQ Pro Grace table. Hope you have better luck than I have had. I am not familiar with the Pfaff.
