niiiiice!

i have some questions:

 what is the size of the template?
 what is the size of the blocks that you sewed together first? are they the same?
 did you arbitrarily choose the 3/4" in from the corner, or is that a given measurement?

Pretty fabrics, nice job! I made one of these & thank goodness for my design wall or I would have gone nuts. I found it lots of fun but tedious.

I have also made one using the same method, and almost went mad because I could not get the last row to match up, so I just went with it, after a solid day of trying it this way and that.

After I had finished it off the best way I could, I found that I had dropped the second last row on the floor and didnt realise - I then unpicked it and made it up properly. Give you an idea how messy my floor is when I am in the middle of a project

I got the pattern from the Australian Patchwork & Quilting 1998 Yearbook. More than happy to send it to you.

I love this look so much!! Can you answer a few questions for me... Where can you find a print out for the template? And what size is your template. Thanks so much for you help.

If you look at her template it is a 3 and a half inch square. :-D
Very clever idea.

That's the same concept as the Twisted pinwheels(?) from Country Schoolhouse in Superior, WI. The little leftover aquares can be used in another project. I loved the project and found cutting the individual squares and leaving them on the cutting mat until assembly was the trick for me to assemble in order and with ease! A fun project to be sure.
Thanks for sharing your ideas!!!
