Thanks for all your help, here are pics of the two quilts I donated to ALS patient's

I recieve a lot of quilts and most of them come in plastic bags, tied up tight. But another thing to think of is taping the address onto the bag, before putting it in the box. This saved a quilt that was coming to me, and the box broke..

Good news is that over 900 quilts recieved that has only happened once.

I mail a lot of things to friends and have a habit of putting them in zip lock bags with my name and address cards in them in case of damage. Better safe than sorry. I don't think about the weather..I will now. My postman left a package on the ground by my mailbox rather than come to the porch as usual and it was wet and dirty. Luckily it was dry inside. I picked it up before it had time to get worse. Lesson learned. Thanks ladies

I mailed QFK 12 quilts that our quilt group did and my DH shrink wrapped them with our Food Saver machine. I was very confident they would arrive in Penn. in good shape with no leakage or wet from weather issues.
