Making a Marine Corp Quilt and have a question?
#1
I was inspired by someone who recently posted the quilt she made for her Marine/Army veteran husband. It was so beautiful that I am planning one also. I bought a Marine Corp emblem with Semp Fi on it also. It is 10 inches in diameter and is embroided. It has a shiny backing on it and does not have any directions as to whether I should wash it first, or how I should apply it to the fabric. I am thinking of sewing it on a square in the middle of the quilt with other squares or borders around it to build it up. Have any of you DQ had any experience with this kind of emblem? I would appreciate all your ideas or comments. Thank you in advance.

Sorry, I have no experience with the type of emblem you are describing. I made an Army quilt for my son as a gift when he completed basic training and used an Army emblem panel as the center of the quilt. I purchased the emblem panel at Wal Mart. This was several years ago, but I still see military emblem panels, other than just Army, and sometimes coordinating fabric at WalMart even now.
Sorry no help with your question, good luck with your quilt!
