I did the edging wrong and had to cut it down smaller and try again. Will it look ok if I made the bottom wider so I can slip a piece of wood in it or should I keep it consistent and sew a sleeve for it onto the back?

I would sew a sleeve and keep it even. By the way, I really like it.

That will be a nice wall hanging and I would sew a sleeve, also.

Beautiful Wallhanging!!! I would sew a sleeve on it, too :D
Don't worry about posting in the wrong place, if it is noticed it will be moved....we all make mistakes

Thank you all! I am going to go with the sleeve, then! Glad you like it, was hard to find something in scraps that I could make into a sort of picture. Special thanks to my friend in CA...I found a small piece of that fabric in your scraps and cut the center out. I think my daughter will like it, she has these colors in her bedroom, and she remarked recently how she loves the woodsy view out her window, so...this should fit in.
