I would prefer that the manufacture put its name on the selvage instead of in the main part of the fabric.

Sometimes I forget that it's where it is, and then I have the name where I don't want it.

I have noticed that too... I don't like having to cut that much extra off the selvedages...

Did not notice that. What a waste.

I don't mind cutting off a little extra because I save them. I'm planning a Rocky Road to Kansas using all selvages. Perhaps if I wasn't doing that I'd mind, yeah, I'm sure I would.

I noticed that the lable side of the selvedge is often quite big now. I think I cut one off a Joann's bolt that was at least 1" that was not usable. Fortunately, the other side was ok so I only lost 1/4" there. On top of that, the fabrics are seldom more than 42-43 wide anymore.

That's a big selvage! I love, use and collect selvages, but I see your point. Tell David and his textiles to calm down.

Is it this particular brand? I have never seen that on any of mine, but I do not have this brand.

I've seen it on other brands. This is just the one I came across today.
