Hi from Arizona. 8-) I found some information on how to do the top stitching on the quilt when I finish sewing it together. I may just do stitch-in-the-ditch so it will b e done quicker. I don't care for tying the layers together. Anyone have any opinions about any of these methods? Happy Thanksgiving to all. I'm stuffed!

I made a log cabin quilt from a kit I bought about fifteen years ago. I had a lot of help and advice from the lady who owned the fabric store where I bought the kit. I started to make another log cabin all on my own but it still sits in storage only half done. Now I have this urge to try to make another quilt using a different pattern without so many pieces. That's how I found this site. I searched the web. I love this site, the message board, the patterns and everything. I live in AZ i the hot southern part where I won't need a quilt of my own but I'll make them for my relatives who all live on the east and west coast where they will really need one. I have more patience now that I'm older so I WILL finish the one I will do now. I'm a old "Newbie". Bye for now.

I have loved everything I've read on the message board so that's why I'm putting in my two cents. I'm glad to know you are from AZ too. 8-)
