Beautiful, beautiful quilts! I particularly like the darker one. These are the best masculine quilts I have seen yet. Are there patterns available?

Hi! These two quilts were made for young men. The black one was chevrons with a light brown strip in it and my brother in law loved it. The check quilt was made by my friend for her son. I am pretty sure she used fabrics from the Parson Gray fabric line.

Here are some patterns that I think are wonderfully masculine. They use jelly rolls, or 2.5 inch strips. Also, consider using batik fabric as many or not floral but look amazing in men's quilts.

I just got to share the blue quilt I made for DH. It does have a few flower prints, but he has never said a word about the flowers. I put his name in the middle because my first biscuit quilt was stolen out of my DD's home. Steal this! Lol!

My hat is off to you madamkelly, beautiful "puff" quilt. I love it. I was very stupid & done one when I first started quilting (a baby quilt) the 2nd quilt I ever made, I cursed & I cried all through the making and swore never again! But yours looks absolutely perfect, job well done!!

Here's a line with "shirting" type fabrics that screams male: http://www.fatquartershop.com/woven-...quarter-bundle

I'm making a quilt for my brother with blue and brown batiks using this line: http://www.fatquartershop.com/rockpo...quarter-bundle

Or you could try something with solids: http://www.fatquartershop.com/neutra...quarter-bundle

I made this bargello for my DH and he LOVES it. His favorite color is purple so I used purples, blacks, greys, and white. Bargellos are great because they look hard to do but a lot of them are very simple to make. This is a mix of prints, solids, and batiks from my stash.

I Just made three 'male' quilts. One for a baby, one for a 19yo and one for a 39 yo. And I used the same fabric line for all - Connecting Threads Symphony of Blues.

Three different patterns, one fabric line = 3 great quilts that worked for any age. I was able to get all three quilts out of two fat quarter packs. The bonus right now is that it is on sale for 20% off.
