Thread: math question on block

    If I were to make a 9 patch and cut each strip 2". Will that make the block 5" unfinished/4.5" finished?

    yes the 4 blocks you get will be 5" each ..........
    When you turn and sew these 4 blocks together it will give you a 9 1/2" unfinished block.
