Wow! Thank you to everyone for the great ideas. I will run all these by her and see if anything pops out. I kind of like the idea of the kids designing tessalation blocks for me to make up for them. My DIL is not a quilter and has limited sewing skills--she is good at math!

I bought a fabric with math facts on in a quilt shop in Park Rapids, MN. I think it is subtraction problems. maybe you can find it on the net

Since I am definitely NOT a math person, the only thing that came to my mind was a 'Pi are not square, Pi are round' quilt. Betcha can guess what kind of grades I got in Algebra.

I've seen a couple people mention suduko quilt patterns. What are those? I love suduko puzzls.
