Default For the math wizards or die cutting machine users

Dh ordered me a Sizzix Vagabond which I guess will use Go dies and dies from other Sizzix machines in addition to those made specifically for the Vagabond machine. I'm excited to get it (in a few days because it's technically not a Christmas gift since he got me a new computer). Anyway I don't know how to figure out which dies I need to do HSTs. I usually use the scraptherapy cutting system for my scraps: 2" squares, 3 1/2" squares, & 5" squares. And when I want HSTs I put the squares together, draw a diagonal line, sew 1/4" from line method then trim to whatever size works.

In looking at the dies they size them like 2" x 3 5/8" and such. So how does this translate to what size squares they would make? I have no idea how to determine which dies to buy to make squares the sizes I need. Can anyone help me?

2" will be the short side, so that is the outside of the square. That particular unit will be 2" square, so it will finish at 1.5" in your quilt.

Here is a chart for the Accuquilt dies that tells you the finished size of the half square triangles.
