What kind of marker is best for writing on fabric for a label? I used embroidery thread for my first but I want to use a marker and write the info on my second quilt. What have you found to be tried and true?

I use the pigma pens on my quilts they are permanent and acid free. I use the 05 ones.

I use Pigma pens also that you can get at AC Moore or Micheals and when I write on the fabric I also iron freezer paper on to the back of the fabric to stabilize it while I am writing then it just peels off easily afterwards. Use a dry iron, no steam to do this.

I use the Pigma pens too -- they are easy to use & come in lots of colors. :D
