I recently received the clothing to make a memory quilt for my nephew's family. There are various types of materials which i know i will have to reinforce with stablizer. There are t-shirts, sweat shirts with logos on the front as well as dresses, jeans, etc, and I decided to make a tee shirt quilt and have small squares of the other materials, but I will have to add shashing and not sure what color to use since there are so many colors in the clothing that I am using. My nephews wife died from lung cancer. Since Breast cancer color is pink, purple for pancreactic cancer, what is color for lung cancer. Or what color can I use for the shashing. I have made 2 other tee shirts quilts and felt this was the easiest and not try to do something fancy with triangles, etc. Hope to add pictures if the family sends them.
hope someone has a suggestion. :D

I'm not sure what color is for lung cancer, but why not use a neutral color so the focus stays on the t-shirts and if you want you can do a large memory label on the back. Just a suggestion, would love to see a pic when you complete it. Good luck on your color choices.

Maybe a neutral variegated to give it a little definition and blend it all together? Freckles eh? I've got a few of those,LOL--Dave B.

Have you considered putting favorite photos in the memory quilt? I made a memory quilt a few years ago for a friend's mother and besides using his clothing, I printed photos of him at different ages, I even had some photos his mother had never seen.
