    My sweet little grandmother decided to make a quilt with blocks of donkeys made from HSTs for her son's room. It wasn't until after she hand pieced and hand quilted it that she discovered one of her blocks was placed in the quilt upside down, making the donkey on that block a boy donkey.

    My mom made my sister and I quilts for our bunk beds when we were kids out of random scraps and turned them into half square triangles. The top of the quilt really is nothing special, but whatever she backed it with feels AMAZING! It's super soft cotton that just molds around you and it's the most snuggly, wrap around you quilt ever. I still have it, I draped it on the rock and nursed all my babies in it and now I pull it out when I'm sick.
