[quote=sueisallaboutquilts]What a funny story!!! :D:D
My husband is generous but also scatter-brained. I could buy anything and he wouldn't notice.

Mine is the same way. I made him two quilts and he didn't even notice until I finished. Funny part was that I worked on the binding on both quilts in the evening while we were watching (he was watching) TV.

My stash and sewing room is in the basementalso.
Hubby says if the basement would ever flood we would need to get a couple of dumpesters to get all of this stuff out of here.

My husband has a double garage with a shop area and it is CRAMMED! He has two of every tool known to man and some he invented. Now that we have moved to a smaller house he tells me I have too much "sewing stuff" and I may have to get rid of a lot of it because we have no room! HA! I have secret hiding places where he never looks and I may take over our garden shed if necessary. He once threatened to clean my sewing room(s), and I told him that would be fine, but while he was doing that I would clean his garage. I have never heard another word about it. Men are funny critters!
