If no one has asked for anything in the mending basket you should play with your stash. I have a theory, if no one asks for an item in the mending they don't need it and will not miss it. The same thing applys to things that need ironing. lol

I like the way you think. My ironing pile has disappeared under a half basted quilt. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

I once won a prize at a banquet for being the person whose children had outgrown their clothes while waiting for them to be ironed. Sadly, it was accurate. Even then, I'd rather make something new than iron or mend.

Mend---earn new shelves---play with stash and use new shelves to store it on!!!
