I was thinking about purchasing some microsafe batting.Has anyone used this before and what do you think of it ?
I guess it's suppose to be microbial against mold and mildew, bet my question is, how is it when it's used to quilt with?

I googled it and here is what it says:

Microsafe Batting 100" Wide. This batting is an extremely fine denier polyester fiber with a dense cross-link pattern. The bond strength is unsurpassed, the insulation excells, the hand is soft and silky. This fiber will withstand the most rigorous washings. MicroSafe fiber provides continuous control of the growth of bacteria, fungi, mold, mildew and yeast. MicroSafe creates clean, sanitary conditions, making it ideally suited for bedding products. The elimination of microbial growth reduces odors, staining and textile product degradation. MicroSafe is very safe and will not wash out. Hypoallergenic.

That is a new one on me. What exactly is this and how is it different from regular batting?

I was shopping on line at Joannes and I found some on a large roll for around $54.00 for 48"x 20 yards I have never purchased it. Maybe it is alot like any regular batting.quote=nativetexan]where did you see it?[/quote]

I am thinking it is the batting used in pillow top mattresses. I remember seeing something about mircosafe on the tags when I was buying a new bedset.
