I tried the Microtex needles to stitch lines on a wallhanging done with batiks. Lite weight heat n bond was used on the applique pieces, and in someplaces the applique pieces were 3 or 4 layers deep ( sea coral). Anyway, my Bernina 730 skipped stitches and didn't like the Microtex needles. Think I used a 14 ...
I found the Titanium topstitch needles are even better and last longer then two of the microtex. Give them a try.
