For anyone that has a Babylock Ellure, do you know of anyway to make the spool holder vertical rather than horizontal. Have some spools of embroider thread that when using, constantly breaks, as in right after starting the design and continually thereafter. I put in a different brand of thread and it works fine, no breakage. Wondering if making the spool vertical would work better or not. Have a lot of this particular brand of thread and would hate to not be able to use it.

Any suggestions?

Put it in a small jar or mug behind you machine if you don't have a spool holder, also the cd multi pack case works great for a cone spool holder, it has a spindle in the middle.

It's not coned spools, regular spools, but the thread is more silky.

Maybe try using a larger eyed needle with those particular spools?

I have put my spool in a cup and taped a safety pin to the back of my machine, at the top, (so it doesn't interfere with any working parts), and ran the thread through the hole at the end of the safety pin to guide the thread.

Does that make sense?

Anyway, it works great if you don't have a thread stand.
