I agree with this.

And as someone else mentioned, you could remove the basting stitches as it gets quilted.
If you're doing a pantograph from the back of the machine, I would be extra vigilant to keep checking to ensure that you don't get any puckers or pleats.

Ah DebraK, I do love fudge! lol So as you have suggested and others have agreed, I will just go ahead and give this a shot. What's to lose at this point?
