    Default Mikayla's Doll Quilt

We had our dgd visit for a weekend. I'd promised her a quilt for the dolly bed grampa made her for Christmas. I put together the quilt sandwich (spray basted) and then let her arrange the precuts how she wanted them. We stuck them with a dab of gluestick. She waited very patiently while I machine quilted (practice, practice, practice) and while the thread gave me issues. While I squared it back up for the binding, she sat at the machine and pretended to sew -she's such a little mimic!

    What a cute story!!
How special ... a dolly bed made by Grampa, and now a quilt made by Mikayla and Grandma together!

Very sweet! I look forward to those kind of memories one day. Now I have them with the great neices and newphews.

Sew Sweet, your DGD! Beautiful eyes. Great idea on having her input for the quilt. Did you get a photo of the doll bed?
