Nice start. You sure have your crumbs and scraps organized. I would rather give them away than put them in order.

Can't wait to see your end results.

Your ancestors are smiling down on you. Now you are doing what your great great grandmother did to make a quilt. It looks great!

"I love my scraps and crumps, as you all know from the mindless stuff I post lol. Crumps, being a word I learned here on this board lol. I assumed the crumbs were the tiny bits that you couldn't call a scrap and which I dont' throw away anymore."

I love to do these, too. I'm always surprised at what appears when I stop trying to 'make' something and just sew. Every scrap and crumb starts a story in my head and it's lovely to piece 'em together and drift along........ There is something incredibly comforting and yet exciting about that.
Have fun (obviously you are!) and happy quilting!

I have finish four piece so far and not much S & C left from this donation lol, but I have more from another friend who's taste is like Elaine.

I am calling them pieces because I don't want a block look. Here is how I started the fourth part and then the bottom half...it's sew as you go.

I have made starways or ladders and when I do the next one it will be better. The more I do these the more I learn.

I even managed a house lol. These are the four areas now. I won't sew them together yet.

Half the block with the ladder
