I have been using my moms Brother NX400 but it will only straight stitch. I really needed a blanket stitch. So tonight when I was at her house she sent me home w/ her Viking Designer I. I really wont use the embrodiery but this machine is suppose to be great. I cant wait to start sewing.

Lucky you....you will get so spoiled by that Designer 1....
I especially love the way that the pressure foot releases just a little so that you can reposition ...

I have that machine. It's great. You need to try doing some embroidery on it. You will be hooked. PM me if you need any help. Do you have any emb. programs to try? I have some that I can send you. I have digitized myself, that I hold copyright to so that won't be a problem.
