My machine is in the shop for it's first annual checkup...I sure do miss her! It's been a week, but will be ready in a couple of more days.

I have done a couple of quilty things to pass the time. I cut out another quilt and have started handsewing the binding on my son's quilt.

I have a cheap newer Singer that my SIL gave me, but it sure isn't anything like my Viking Sapphire. I don't have the right feet for it, so I don't really want to piece with it until I do.

Withdrawal is tough!

Oh, I am facing the same dilemma! My machine is slightly overdue for her check up but I've been so stressed about being without her...hence I have a new Featherweight to play with!

I am envious! I want a Featherweight too. I'm hoping to get one someday and just starting to research about them. Did you find one locally or did you go thru something like craigslist or ebay? I never find anything on our local craigslist. There are many on ebay, but I would probably be nervous getting one that way. That's a lot of money to buy sight unseen.

I got it for $191.50 because the seller couldn't spell so it probably didn't show up when people searched for Featherweight. I kinda feel guilty because the guy could have got much more if he only could spell. LOL

Lucky you...I never thought of looking any other way, but it makes sense...there are a lot of people that don't spell correctly.

It's no fun being without your baby. I do have to say that was a great buy on the FW. Lucky you.

Worse than Empety nest syndrome was for me.

Just get her space all cleaned and ready for her homecoming. Don't overdo it on her first day home. She needs time to adjust, too. After all, she's been away from you. :-D
