Default Help!!!! designed this and now I am stuck : (

This is a UFO that I have been avoiding because I can't figure what to do to make it the size I want. It is 67 X 67 and I want it to be about 90 X 104. All suggestions appreciated, I don't have much (2yds) of the backround fabric left and I have purchased 2 yds of the fabric in the 2nd picture. I have leftover pieces of the blues and corals that are in the top

Okay looking at what you have, I would use the coral color to add the applique design to the center. Maybe alternate with the blue. Then use the coral as the long strips of the outer border. I would use the appliques at the corners. I also see a one or 2 braking borders to fill it out. It will be a wonderful quilt. Luann

I like crafterrn's suggestion, but to change the proportions, as you asked, I would suggest putting in a row of blocks above and below your star.

You could use your background color and put a 7" wide border on and than make a 5" ribbon border and than another 7 inch border. I have done this and it turned out great.

I agree. For the proportions of inches you need, a top and bottom row of blocks or strips are needed, maybe sawtooth or some other design, then a boarder all the way around the quilt to complete the measurements and looks. I know you will think of something. I have been in this fix before. Believe me, a quilter can become very creative when need be.

There's a pattern called Delectable Mountains that would work well for adding to these blocks.
